What are you looking for?
Windows with ventilators are practical and favorable for air circulation in the room. They ensure the natural flow of fresh air through the otherwise airtight window frames. Unfortunately, they limit our choice of roller blinds with installation on the window sash.
Every customer should choose the blind taking into account his own preferences and style of home interiors.
Below we present the best solutions.
1. Mini no-drill blinds with an elongated hanger for a window with a ventilator or in option to stick on the window sash
Elongated hangers are longer than basic hangers by 3 cm. Their length is 9 cm. This solution is cheap, functional, and no-drill. It is important to do not to use these hangers on the window, where the ventilator is located in the middle of the upper window frame. In this case, the hanger might be too short. You can choose a self-adhesive hanger and then install the roller blind above the air ventilator.
2. Basic pleated blinds
Pleated blinds can be installed in two ways. The first one is sticking the upper hanger above the air ventilator. The second is installing a Basic pleated blind by hooks on the window sash. It is a good solution when the ventilator in width does not exceed the width of the glazing beads. Pleated blinds can be placed anywhere on the window, which is their additional advantage.
3. Premium pleated blinds
Premium pleated blinds are provided with mounting cubes mounted to the glazing beads with small screws. Glazing beads are a replaceable element on the window so you will not lose your window warranty by installing them following instructions.
The main advantage is the possibility to place the pleated blinds anywhere on the window. This is the only type of roller blinds that allows placing blinds solely on the bottom part of the window.
It is the one of frequency asked questions. This is possible, but you should remember about different measuring. There are two types of cassettes.
1. Roller blinds in a PVC cassette
The PVC cassette is stuck to the window sash by self-adhesive tape. This type of installation requires a minimum of 2,5 cm flat surface for proper installation. The PVC maxi needs a minimum of 3,5 cm flat surface. When it comes to choosing Day&Night blinds for double windows you should measure windows with and without air ventilators from the same border. From the end of the air ventilator and parallel with the second window sash. It is important to equal the appearance of belts. Then the fabric will be covered up. The window is not damaged by this type of installation.
2. Roller blinds in an aluminum cassette
Roller blinds in an aluminum cassette are installed by screws to the glazing bead. The air ventilator is not an obstacle. The flat aluminum cassette gives a subtle and elegant window look.
If you do not want to make a choice between these types of installation you can also check our offer of free-hanging blinds. It is the simplest solution that allows montage in the window recess or on the wall.
