Roman blinds, as the name suggests, were known and used in ancient Rome. Initially, fabrics that were hung in windows to protect against sun and dust were referred to as this. Today's version of Roman blinds is not only practical but also decorative, creating a very distinctive and exclusive interior design.
Roman blinds are curtains that create waves when raised. They are one of the most frequently chosen products that not only cover the light but also very elegant interior decorations. They give the impression of very exclusive products, additionally, they fit most interior styles, so that everyone can have them.
Roman blinds are made of light, very durable aluminum material, which will ensure proper functionality, safe and reliable assembly in all types available on our website. In addition, it is worth noting that the fabric itself is attached to the velcro strip through which removing and putting on the material for cleaning or refreshing is very easy and practical. The fabric has horizontal stitching through which it is arranged in waves. They are located at a distance of 20 cm from each other.
There are 2 types of Roman blinds:
1. Basic Roman Blinds which are available in two variants: A. On the window frame, B. Mounted on the wall or ceiling.
2. Premium Roman Blinds mounted on the wall or ceiling

1. Installation of Basic roman blinds on the window frame.
For mounting on the window frame, it is enough to measure the width along with the slats next to the glazing (removable element holding the glass in the window frame), in height the entire window frame (just like opening the window).
2. Installation of Basic and Premium roman blinds in a window recess.
When you want to install roller blinds in a window recess, you simply need to measure the width and height of the recess itself, but remember that in such a situation the fabric may block the full opening of the window.
3. Installation of Basic and Premium roman blinds on the wall or ceiling.
In the case of wall-mounted roller shutters, it looks a bit different because you measure the width and height of the recess, adding an allowance to the wall on the right and left at your own discretion, e.g. 10 cm and in height also at your own discretion, paying attention to the fact that the fabric when fully rolled up, it is about 30 cm.
Installation of roman blinds
Installation of roman blinds is very easy, everyone can handle it.
1. Basic and Premium Roman blinds are usually mounted directly above the window, in a recess, or to the ceiling. For this you will need:
- drill
- screwdriver
- level indicator
- pegs
- mounting kit included with the order.
The handles are mounted about 30 cm above the window recess so that when folded, the blind allows the window to be opened. The type of pegs should be selected for the type of wall to which the roller shutter handles will be attached. Then, after mounting the brackets to the wall or ceiling, click the Roman blind strip into them and attach the selected fabric with velcro. Lowering and lifting the roller blind is possible thanks to a chain mechanism with a multi-stop system that allows it to stop in any position. Roman blinds when raised up form decorative folds that decorate the room. There are many followers of leaving the blinds half-open as a window ornament.
2. When installing Basic Roman blinds on the window frame, simply insert the catches into the latches already in the strip, then use a screwdriver to adjust the clamping power on the frame. For an aesthetic appearance, a masking cap is added to the fasteners, which we put on the front of the fastener.
The most important step when buying roller blinds is choosing the perfect fabric. The material for the Basic and Premium roller blinds differs in small details.
For Basic Roman blinds, you can choose only one type of fabric in a wide range of colors. It is a darkening material that provides privacy, its composition is 100% polyester,
the thickness of the material is 1.2mm while the basis weight of the material is 296g / m2.
However, for Premium Roman blinds you can choose from two types of fabrics in a wider range of colors. The first is translucent, which looks like a curtain, which makes it perfect for kitchen interiors and living rooms, the material also has 100% polyester, the thickness of the material is 0.9 mm and the material weight is 200 g / m2. The second material for Premium Roman blinds is slightly thicker, and more darkening, it will work well in the bedroom or in the children's room, its composition is 100% polyester, the thickness of the material is 1.2 mm, and the material weight is 296g / m2.
