We examine pleated blinds and fabric blinds.

Pleated blinds are mount to cover and exhibit glass from the top down and the other way. Thus it is easy to get the desirable result. By covering selected parts of the window, you can precisely adjust the amount of light entering the room. However, the main difference is in the way we mount pleated blinds and fabric blinds. The former due to harmonica pressed fabric should perfectly match to the glass. The latter has ultra-slim design and the fabric is wrapped around aluminium roll.

Where to choose pleated blinds or fabric blinds?

The main difference between pleated blinds and fabric blinds is the fabric. In pleated blinds the fabric is flat with pleats every 2 cm. Additionally, the main difference is in the mounting method and the way of use. Fabric blinds are mount in the top of the window sash and  thanks to gravity they go down. The direction of shade is always the same and the amount of light is controlled by exposure lower part of the window.

There is no unequivocal answer what’s to choose. It depends not only on the type of rooms but also the way of use. Sometimes it is worth to follow the  criteria:

-        Plaited blinds are recommended in the toilet or kitchen and rooms where is big light intensity,

-        Blackout 100%  fabric blinds recommended in baby room or bedrooms to ensure privacy.

-        In case the blinds are needed during the whole day, for example on the ground floor, plaited blinds will be perfect.

-        Plaited blinds play also a decorative role
